Advancing American Scholarship Abroad

Ensuring cost-of-living barriers do not limit who represents the United States globally

About ACGS

The American Council for Global Scholars is a premier organization committed to fostering global academic leadership. We connect scholars and researchers with prestigious opportunities worldwide, creating pathways to impactful careers.

Our platform provides a gateway to fellowships, research residencies, and tailored professional development programs. We aim to bridge the gaps between talented individuals and groundbreaking research initiatives, promoting cross-border collaboration and interdisciplinary studies.

What sets us apart is our direct affiliation with the Fulbright network. We focus on tackling pressing global challenges while providing mentorship and ongoing career support for our diverse community.

Programs such as the Fulbright Program send American scholars worldwide. However, rising housing costs in global cities are creating financial gaps.
Key high-cost postings include:

• London
• Zurich
• Tokyo

Scholars in these cities frequently face funding gaps of $5,000–$15,000.

ACGS provides:

• Supplemental COLA grants
• Transparent governance
• Nonpartisan operations
• Public impact reporting
